only be used as described in these instructions. Any other use

CAUTION – Danger of Burns from Battery Acid! 

If a battery 

leaks, do not allow your skin, eyes and mucous membranes 

to come into contact with the battery acid. If you touch battery 

acid, rinse the affected area with abundant fresh water immedi-

ately and contact a doctor as soon as possible.

Use only the battery type speci

Always replace all batteries together. Do not use batteries of 

different types or brands, or batteries with different capacities.

 

Take the batteries out of the article when they are dead or if the 

article is not going to be used for a prolonged period. This will 

prevent any damage if a battery leaks.

 

Remove dead batteries immediately and clean the contacts be-

fore you insert new batteries.

 

Batteries must not be charged or reactivated in any way, dis-

assembled, thrown into a 

fi

 re, immersed in liquids or short-cir-

cuited.

 

Set up the article on a dry surface, a suf

fi

 cient distance away 

from heat sources (e.g. radiators). 

 

Protect the article from: impacts, heat, direct sunlight, sub-zero 

temperatures, moisture and wet conditions. 

 

Do not immerse the article in liquids.

 

If the article is moved from a cold to a warm environment, 

condensation may form inside the article. In this case, wait for 

around an hour before you start using it.

 

Do not cover the article. 

 

Do not use any additional accessories not recommended by 

the manufacturer.

 

Do not place any heavy objects on the article.

 

Do not use the article if it is damaged.

 

Do not make any changes to the article and do not attempt to 

repair it. In the event of any damage, please contact our cus-

tomer service department.

 

Do not insert anything into the openings of the article.

Three 1.5 V batteries of the AAA type are required for oper-

ation. They are not supplied with the article.

Check the article for any transport damage. In the event of trans-

port damage, please contact our customer service department.

Inserting Batteries

Batteries must be inserted into the battery compartment before the 

article is 

fi

 rst used. It is located on the bottom of the article.

1.  Press the locking catch on the battery compartment cover 

slightly towards the battery compartment cover and remove it.

2.  Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in 

the battery compartment and on the batteries are clean, and 

clean them if necessary. 

3.  Insert three 1.5 V batteries, AAA type into the battery compart-

ment. Ensure the correct polarity  (+ / –).

4.  Insert the battery compartment cover and 

fl

 ip it shut.

If the performance of the article diminishes, replace the batteries.
