Appendix 4: Troubleshooting DM Mobile
I can’t connect to the DM510:
The DM510 is designed to automatically connect with the DM Mobile cloud server when it is
connected to the internet. If it loses a connection it will continue to try to reestablish the connection
and in almost all cases will be able to do so. However there are situations that can require a reboot
of the DM Mobile hardware, or the internet connection hardware
(router/wireless access point).
To begin with, open the door to the DM510. Roughly in the middle of the
box you will see a small green board (about 2 in X 2.5 in). In the middle
of the board is a red power light. Just above that there should be 2 lights
(yellow and green) flashing (see picture).
If the 2 lights are flashing you should normally be able to connect. If you
cannot connect with the lights flashing, call the Dryer Master Support
Center.
If the lights are not flashing, and you have connected in the past, try the
following:
1.
Unplug the power cord from the bottom of the small green board (see purple circle in
picture). Wait five seconds and then plug back in. Wait about a minute and the 2 lights
should start to flash.
2.
If the lights do not start to flash, the next
step is to reboot your router or your wireless
access point.
3.
If this does
n’
t correct the issue, next try
rebooting the DM510 panel. Turn off the
power switch on the bottom of the panel.
Wait 20 seconds and then turn it back on.
Wait a minute or two to see if the lights flash.
4.
If none of these options solve the issue,
contact the Support Center.
If the lights are not flashing, and you have not connected in the past, try the following:
1.
Make sure that the Ethernet cord is plugged in at both ends (at the DM510 panel and at
your router or wireless access point).
2.
Check that you do have an active internet connection, by for example connecting a
laptop to the connection.
3.
Try resetting DM Mobile as in Step 1 above (unplug and plug back in).
4.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, contact Dryer Master Support to perform
additional troubleshooting.
