wool.
●
In case the chimney has to be lined, use the easy to install
liner kit from Dik Geurts and follow the instructions delivered

In a new situation:
●
When no existing chimney is available we recommend the
use of an installation cassette. This cassette can be ordered
with Dik Geurts.
Installation of the build-in cassette:
●
Place the build-in cassette in front of a fireproof wall;
●
In case of a combustible wall, build up a 10cm thick
fireproof
wall;
●
place the build-in cassette level at the desired height and fix
it with metal anchors;
●
for a corner model fix and locate the towbar to the wall;
●
Connect the flue pipe to the flue spigot of the cassette;
●
the cassette is not suitable to support a flue pipe system,
which must be self-supporting;
●
the chimney breast must be made of non-flammable, non-
combustible, fireproof material (must withstand a
temperature of at least 700 degrees Celsius);
●
If the chimney breast is made from heat-resistant panels,
such as promafour, promatect, nobranda etc., these can be
attached to the cassette;
●
stone materials may not rest on the cassette, use ceramic
felt between the cassette and the stone;
●
leave 6 mm space between the cassette and the chimney
breast;
●
cover the cassette with 6 cm heat-resistant insulation
material;
●
take the expansion of the cassette into account, so therefore
nothing directly touching the cassette;
●
the exterior of the chimney breast may not be hotter than 80
degrees
Celsius;
●
if there is a combustible ceiling, install a fire-resistant panel
in the chimney breast, 30 cm below the ceiling. Lay 10cm
thick heat insulation on this;
