TECHNICAL INFORMATION

RATED ThERMAl OUTPUT

The actual thermal output of a stove depends on the amount of fuel with which it is actually
stoked.

The "rule of thumb" is:

1 kg wood = 3 kW heat output.

The rated thermal output is stated on the plate attached to the stove. The rated thermal
output is the thermal output which is determined by testing a stove to EN standard and then
stated by the manufacturer. To achieve this rated output, a certain defined amount of fuel has
to be burned. This amount is stated in the data sheet "Technical Information".

ThERMAl OUTPUT RAnGE

Every wood burning stove has a range of thermal outputs. Your stove will also function
perfectly at ouputs which are less than the rated output. The high quality of DROOFF stoves
even  permits  outputs  which  are  slightly  higher  than  that  rated.  Less  fuel  means  a  lower
output, more fuel, a higher. This flexibility makes our stoves more economical. The thermal
output range is stated in the current instruction booklet.

Ensure that your stove is not overheated either for shorter or longer periods of time. Damage
caused by overheating is not covered by the guarantee. Please refer to the section entitled
"Guarantee". Always operate your stove according to the instructions and stoke it only with
the correct amounts of fuel i.e. no more than you need for your actual requirements. Do not
use only the air slides to control the heat emitted by the stove, but also vary the amount of
fuel you burn.

The stove is designed for intermittent use. Do not overheat it, even for short periods of time.
