1.5 Important connection notes
Chimney calculations are made in accordance with EN 13384, Parts 1+2.
Observe DIN 18160 with regard to planning and installing flue gas systems.
The minimum delivery pressure is 10–12 Pa depending on the model. The maximum delivery
pressure is 20 Pa. Above 20 Pa, the delivery pressure must be limited. We recommend installing
a draught regulator.
All flue pipe connections must be tight.
The flue pipe must not protrude into the chimney.
Connections from different fireplaces must not be at the same height or opposite each other in
the chimney. There must be a minimum distance of 40 cm between them.
When connecting to the top of the stove, safety distances to combustible ceilings and ceiling
coverings must be observed!
Please refer to the model-specific ‘Technical Information’ data sheet for
the necessary dimensions and technical data for connecting the chimney.
1.6 Combustion air
The combustion process requires oxygen at all times. DROOFF stoves
feature a central air connection as standard, which supplies the necessary air.
1.7 Room-air-dependent operation (RAD)
In room-air-dependent operation, the air is taken from the installation room. Make sure that there
is enough fresh air to avoid negative pressure. Ask your specialist retailer and your chimney sweep
whether there is enough fresh air in the installation room and whether it can flow in.
