THIS GUIDE IS INTENDED FOR REFERENCE ONLY. REFER TO INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE MANUAL.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Rhythm, a possible cause is the patient’s rhythm appears as a wide
QRS.
To correct with a five lead or six lead electrode set:
1.
Show all ECG leads.
2.
Select processing for arrhythmia detection in a lead(s) with a
narrower QRS complex.
3.
Select processing for arrhythmia detection in just one lead if
only one satisfactory lead is available (patient must be closely
monitored for this scenario).
To correct with the three lead electrode set:
1.
Ensure that the LL (red) is on anterior axillary line at the lower
rib.
2.
Select an alternate electrode placement like, MCL1.
ARRHYTHMIAS NOT ALARMING
If the monitor is not alarming for arrhythmias:
1.
Ensure that the desired arrhythmia detection is turned ON,
either Basic or Advanced.
2.
Ensure that the monitor’s volume is turned ON.
3.
Assess for artifact interfering with arrhythmia detection.
o
To correct artifact: follow directions for lead prepara-
tion/placement (arrhythmia monitoring is suspended dur-
ing continuous artifact).
o
Relearn ECG.
4.
Ensure the individual arrhythmia alarm is turned ON.
ARRHYTHMIA ALARMS NOT STORING
If the monitor is not storing an arrhythmia:
1.
Ensure that corresponding arrhythmia is set to STORE in the
ALARM ARCHIVE column.
2.
Some models also require the alarm for that parameter also be
turned ON in the Alarm ON/OFF column (refer to individual
device IFU).
