4.1
Prerequisites
The instrument is factory-calibrated when delivered. If the calibration
date is longer ago than 6 months, the instrument should be calibrated,
e.g. by DrägerService. The calibration date can be displayed after the
startup screen as an option.
After the last alcohol intake, wait approx. 15 minutes before a
measurement is carried out. Alcohol residues that are still in the mouth
may cause incorrect measuring values. This may also occur due to by
aromatic drinks (e.g. fruit juices), alcoholic mouth sprays, medicines
and drops, as well as by burping and vomiting. Rinsing the mouth with
water or non-alcoholic drinks does not replace the wait time!
4.2
Initial start-up
A setup wizard is opened when the instrument is switched on for the
first time. This step is not required for pre-configured instruments.
The following settings are made using the setup wizard:

All settings can be changed later on via the menu.
