2.6.3 Testing stenosis alarm
Test set-up:

• Set the minute volume adjuster (MV) to 10 L/min.
• Set the frequency selector (Freq.) to 10 1/min.
• Set the Air Mix/No Air Mix selector switch to „Air Mix“.
• Turn the ventilation pressure selector (Paw) to full right.
• During the inhalation phase set a ventilation pressure of approx.
30 mbar (hPa) with the adjustable resistor. (Note: Read off the
ventilation pressure from the pressure gauge of the Oxylog 1000).
• During the inhalation phase slowly close off the ventilation hose further
with the adjustable resistor until the „red“ indicator (Paw high) lights up.
The „Paw high“ switching point is at approx. 55 mbar (hPa). (Read off
switching point from pressure gauge of Oxylog 1000 and from separate
pressure gauge).
