Chapter 3: Operating the DR PRO-21 Battery Lawn Mower 

It may be helpful to better familiarize yourself with the features of your Mower by reviewing 

Figure 2

 in Chapter 2 before beginning 

the steps outlined in this chapter. 

Your Mower is set up initially to Mulch.  If you would like to use the side discharge or bagging features, go to the “Installing the 
Side Discharge Chute” or “Installing the Bagger Assembly” section for details. 

Adjusting the Cutting Height 

Use the Height Adjustment Handle to set all four Wheels to the same cutting 
height as desired (

Figure 9

). Pull Lever outward, move Lever to desired position, 

and release Lever to lock in notch.

 Fully towards rear of mower 

1.2 inch (3.0 cm) 

2nd: 

1.6 inch (4.1 cm) 

3rd: 

2.0 inch (5.1 cm) 

4th: 

2.3 inch (5.8 cm) 

5th: 

2.7 inch (6.9 cm) 

6th: 

3.1 inch (7.9 cm) 

7th:

 Fully towards front of mower

 

3.5 inch (8.9 cm) 

Side Discharge Setup 

The Side Discharge Chute can be installed to direct clippings out the right side 
when the Bagger is not installed.

Lift the Side Discharge Cover to access the Hinge area (

Figure 10

).

Place the Tabs of the Side Discharge Chute under the Hinge Pin (

Figure 11

). 

3.

 

Lower the Side Discharge Cover onto the Side Discharge Chute. 

4.

 

Ensure that the Mulching Plug is installed when using the Side Discharge 
Cover.  See “Mulching Setup” on the next page.

Adjusting the cutting height may bring you into contact with the mowing 
blade, causing serious injury. 

 

Stop the Motor and remove the Safety Key. 

 

Do not put your fingers under the housing when adjusting the cutting 
height. 

Read and understand all warnings listed in “Chapter 2 General Safety Rules” before operating this Mower.
