Throttle Cable - 13 HP B&S
Tools Needed:
•
Blade Screwdriver or 5/16" Nut Driver
1.
Route the Throttle Cable from the Tow Bar behind the Fuel Tank straps
(
Figure 7
).
2.
Move the Throttle Control to the Choke position on the Remote Control
Panel.
3.
Insert the “Z”-Bend of the Cable end into the hole in the Nylon Slide on the
side of the carburetor (
Figure 8
).
4.
Using a Blade Screwdriver or 5/16" Nut Driver, loosen the Throttle Cable
Clamp Bolt (
Figure 9
) and slip the Cable Sheath behind the Clamp.
5.
Pull the Cable as far as possible. This will move the Engine mechanism into
the Choke position.
6.
Tighten the Cable Clamp Bolt while holding the Cable in the Choke position.
Throttle Cable - 17 HP Kawasaki
Tools Needed:
•
Phillips Screwdriver, or Blade Screwdriver, or
5/16" Nut Driver
1.
Route the Throttle Control Cable from the Tow Bar behind the Fuel Tank
straps (
Figure 7
on page 17).
2.
Move the Throttle Control to the Choke position on the Remote Control
Panel.
3.
Loop the end of the Return Spring over the “Z”-Bend of the Throttle Cable
(
Figure 10
).
4.
Insert the “Z”-Bend of the Cable end into the top hole in the Throttle Pivot
Arm on the side of the carburetor.
5.
Using a Screwdriver or Nut Driver, loosen the Throttle Cable Clamp Bolt,
and slip the Cable Sheath behind the Clamp.
6.
Pull the Cable as far as possible. This will move the Pivot Arm into the
Choke position.
7.
Tighten the Cable Clamp Bolt while holding the Cable in the Choke position.
