3. About this product
3.1 Intended use
The MATRIX AIR door fitting has been developed for the installation on interior doors and
may only be used for access control. The supplied components may be used only for this
door fitting. The MATRIX AIR door fitting reads data from RFID media contact-free (cards or
transponder fobs according to DORMA recommendation) and opens if authorized.
Different operating modes are possible (see user manual XS-Manager).
Requirements for the installation
Only interior fittings with a standard mount for the door handle (headless screws) and
escutcheons with M5 fastening screws are suitable for the installation of the fitting.
Unlocking in the event of an emergency
You can still use the key to lock and unlock door fittings with profile cylinders.
3.2 Note on the use on fire doors
The use in combination with fire doors is permissble only with the DORMA fire/smoke
protection kit for MATRIX AIR fittings
with 9 mm and 8 mm square.
