Oil Pump Removal

. Bolt from oil pump to main bearing cap.

. Oil pump assembly.

Engine Front Cover Removal
IMPORTANT: Once the composite cover is
removed, DO NOT reinstall it. Always install a
new engine front cover.
Start By:
a
. Removing crankshaft pulley.

. Remove crankshaft balancer.

. Remove bolts from cover.

. Remove cover from engine.

Measure
• Check camshaft timing chain free play. If the
camshaft timing chain can be moved back and
forth in excess of 16 mm (0.625 in.), make a note
that the camshaft timing chain should be replaced
during assembly.
