until the wedge is completely released and
unwound from the anchorage

5. Take the wedge off the hook block

and, in the case of 4, 6 and 8-rope fall hoists, also from the transmission
pulley

, bringing the rope end to the ground again.
6. Remove the protection canopy

, both from the limit-switch side and from the opposite side, by unscrewing
the screws

and taking care not to lose the coupling gasket

of the two ends (fig. 184).
7. Disassemble the anchorage cross head

and, in the case of 4-rope fall hoists, the pulley assembly

removing the safety screws -

(In the hoists with DST/R trolley take off only the anchorage cross head and only in the case of the 4-rope fall
version).
8. Tie temporarily, but safely and firmly, the anchorage cross head

to the lower connecting stay bolt

of the
drum shell, taking care not to disconnect or damage the overload device

or its cable (fig. 186).
9. Remove from the semi-rings

(on the opposite side to where the wire rope comes out) and

(on the side
where the rope comes out) the bronze runners/reaction arms

by unscrewing the relative screws
