1. Connect the battery to the controller (fig.
7
).
2. Connect the positive cable of the solar panel to the controller (fig.
5
).
3. Connect the negative cable of the solar panel to the controller (fig.
6
).
When the controller is connected to the battery bank, it will start a power-up sequence which takes several seconds
to complete.The readiness of the controller is indicated by a LED signal (see chapter “LED indications” on page 9).

NOTICE! Damage hazard
Install an in-line fuse as close to the positive battery terminal as possible. This installation
prevents any damage to the connected devices in case of excessive current.

Battery cables must not be connected to the battery in reverse polarity, otherwise dam-
age to the device may occur.
NOTE
Plan out the wire routing before permanently mounting the devices and any wiring. In
many installations it is better to mock up the whole installation before mounting the
devices.

exceed 12 amps.
