9.3 LIGHTING THE APPLIANCE
The appliance (hob, grill and oven) is equipped with an electronic timed spark ignition.
a)
In order to light the oven or grill, the grill or oven door must be fully open.
b)
Push the rotary knob in slightly and turn it to the left to the ignition position. (The
oven can be lit when the knob is in any position). Now operate the timed spark
ignition button.
Once the burner has ignited, hold the knob down for around 10 seconds until the
safety pilot is activated.
c)
Release the knob and turn to the required setting.
The grill may only be operated at the high setting!
The grill door may be open or closed while the grill is in use.
The grill and the oven can also be used simultaneously.
The oven is equipped with an automatic thermostat. The various knob settings
correspond to temperatures ranging from 120
o
C to 250
o
C.
If the oven temperatures differ excessively from the settings, the thermostat should be
repaired.
IMPORTANT: If the ignition fails, repeat the process from the start (in the case of the
grill or oven,
wait for at least 1 minute
). If necessary, have the gas and or power
supply to the appliance checked. If the appliance continues to malfunction, close the gas
supply tap and consult your dealer. When first using the oven, run the empty oven
(without food) for around 1/2 hour at the maximum heat setting. If the burner flame is
extinguished by accident, turn the burner control knob off and leave the burner off for
at
least 1 minute
before re-igniting it.
The COE … DUFU model is equipped with one electric burner. This burner is
controlled using a rotary knob. The various knob settings correspond to nominal outputs
of between around 10% and 100% of the rated output.
