In stand-by mode, the display is without content. Only the
On
text appears on the display (fig.

) when the automatic output switch activates. The device can be switched on from the
stand-by mode either completely, or only to display the clock and thermometer function.

To turn the device on completely, press the
Menu

The device remains in normal operating mode until the

) button is pressed
again. Then, the device goes into stand-by mode again.

To turn the device on only to display the clock and thermometer function, press the

To toggle between the clock and thermometer, press the

In this case, the device returns to stand-by mode after 30 seconds.

Occasionally clean the device with a soft, damp cloth.

Regularly check live cables or lines for insulation faults, breaks or loose connections.
The device is maintenance-free.

• Never clean the device under running water or in dish water.
• Do not use sharp or hard objects, abrasive cleaning agents or bleach during clean-
ing as these can damage the device.

Device is off.
Turn the device on by press-

Battery cables reversed.
Check battery cables.
Battery deeply discharged.
Charge battery.
Cable connection inter-
rupted.
Check cables for damage or
loose connections.
Distorted characters on the
display.
Internal fault.
Unplug the control cable for
10 seconds. Reconfigure the
device (chapter “Configuring
the device” on page 10).
