7.2 Changing cartridge and battery
The cartridge only needs to be changed when it is empty or the service life of the lubricant has
been exceeded. The cartridge can be changed during normal operation of the FP 250/400/500B
with ext. battery compartment.
There is a error (error E1) on the FP 250/400/500B with ext. battery compartment; the red LED
flashes every 5 seconds and also visually signals an error.
NOTICE
Only use original lubricant cartridges with lubricant approved by the
manufacturer.

Observe the maximum storability of the lubricant filled in cartridges.
NOTICE
It is not possible to refill empty or opened lubricant cartridges.
NOTICE
Make sure that you use the same lubricant in the new cartridge which
is already in use.

Compare the information on the lubricant cartridge.
NOTICE
A lubricant cartridge that has been used must not be put back on the
FP 250/400/500B with ext. battery compartment, as the integrated cycle
counter of the FP 250/400/500B with ext. battery compartment is auto

matically reset after a cartridge has been removed.
§
Only use fully filled lubricant cartridges.
