4. From the Toolbar choose the
NMEA
icon. The raw NMEA code will continue to load until
the NMEA window is closed. This test assures that the GPS module is talking to the Main
CPU of the terminal.
5. To verify the Signal Quality you must be outside a building as GPS antennas do not work
inside buildings. From the main menu choose the
Signal
icon. The screen will display
the db gain to each satellite that the GPS module is communicating with.
The blue bar indicates a lock to a satellite and the gray bar indicates that the module
is communicating with the satellite but does not have a complete fix on your location.
