CONNECTING TO A HOST COMPUTER
CONNECTING THE SERIAL Robotic INTERFACE
Turn off the Optical Library and the host computer when connecting the
cables
.
Depending on the software which is used to control the robotic of the Optical
Library, the serial interface (RS 232) of the Optical Library needs to be
connected to the host computer.
Via the RS 232 interface all mechanical operations like loading media,
unloading media, importing or exporting media can be controlled. The RS
232 ID for the robotic is set to 00 by factory default. This setting needs to be
changed only if more than one Optical Library should be connected to the
serial bus.
