2.1
Before use
1.
Unpack the appliance and all its accesso-
ries.
2.
Check the contents for completeness and
possible damages. For the scope of deliv-
ery, see fig. 1.
3.
Insert the end of the suction hose into the
intake opening (Fig. 2/A) until the catch
(Fig. 2/A/1) clicks into place. Make sure
that the catch (Fig. 2/A/1) is on the upper
side.
4.
Insert the handle into the upper end of the
telescopic tube (Fig. 2/B).
5.
Attach the floor nozzle to the bottom end of
the telescopic tube (Fig. 3/A).
6.
Adjust the length of the telescopic tube.
Press down the release catch on the tele-
scopic tube to do this (Fig. 3/B). Then ex-
tend the telescopic tube to the desired
length. Let go of the release catch while
pulling until it locks in place. You will hear a
distinct click.
7.
Attach the supplied accessory nozzles to
the accessory holder (Fig. 4). If you put the
furniture brush (Fig. 4/1) onto to the crevice
nozzle (Fig. 4/2), the twin holders can take
3 accessory nozzles.
2.2
Vacuum cleaning
1.
Attach the desired nozzle to the telescopic
tube (Fig. 5/1) or directly to the handle
(Fig. 5/2).

If using the floor nozzle, set the "carpet/
hard floor" selector (Fig. 6) according to the
type of floor to be cleaned:
for short- and deep-pile carpets,
rugs, etc. (Fig. 6/A);
for hard floors such as laminate,
tiles, PVC etc. (Fig. 6/B).

Pull out the power cord by the plug up to the
yellow mark.
4.
Insert the mains plug into a socket with
ground/safety contact.
5.
Switch on the vacuum cleaner with the on/
off switch (Fig. 8/1).

With the suction power control (Fig. 7/A),
set the suction power to suit the surface to
be cleaned.
- By sliding it towards the cable retraction
button (Fig. 8/2), you can increase suc-
tion power to pick up deeply imbedded
particles in carpets, runners, crevices,
etc.
- By pushing it towards the on/off switch
(Fig. 8/1) you can reduce power, e.g. for
gentle cleaning of curtains.

Switching off
1.
Switch off the vacuum cleaner with the on/
off switch (Fig. 8/1) and pull the plug from
the mains socket.

Keep the plug in your hand.
3.
Push the cord retracting button (Fig. 8/2) to
retract the power cord.

ATTENTION:
Always transport or ship the appliance in its
original packaging to avoid damage. Keep
the packaging for such an event.
Dispose of no longer needed packaging
material properly.
NOTE:
Immediately contact your dealer if you have
found damage resulting from transportation.
WARNING:
Danger of injury! A damaged appliance must
not be used. Check the vacuum cleaner and
the power cord for damages before each
use.
ATTENTION:
Only use the vacuum cleaner with all filters
intact, in dry condition and correctly placed.
Make sure that the openings of the vacuum
cleaner are not clogged.or obstructed.
WARNING:
Danger of injury! Especially when vacuum-
cleaning stairs, always take care that you are
standing above the appliance .
ATTENTION:
Before vacuuming make sure that the
attached nozzle and the set suction power
suit the surface to cleaned. Please follow the
flooring manufacturer's recommendations.
WARNING:
Danger of electric shock! If the red marking
shows retract the cord by pressing the
retraction button (Fig. 8/2) to pull in the cable
up to the yellow mark again. Otherwise the
power cord might break.
NOTE:
With the bypass vent (Fig. 7/B) you can
quickly reduce the suction power if less
power is needed, e.g. to release curtains
accidentally sucked in.
WARNING:
Danger of injury! During uncontrolled retrac-
tion the power cord can whip around,
become an obstacle or overthrow objects.
Therefore keep the plug in your hand and
guide it during retraction of the power cord.
