CHAPTER 4: Operation

Automatic AES port selection - a change of the AES input signal
condition or changing the activation status of the SRCs may result
in a different clock source.
If the clock source is set to AES the selection of the AES port as
clock source uses the following pattern in ascending order:
lowest input port receiving a valid AES signal and SRC switched off
MAdi
lEd (green): indicates use of
MAdi input as clock source
LED ON = Clock source set to MADI input
LED blinking = Clock source
set to MADI input and no signal present
LED blinking pattern = Signal of selected
MADI input is not in sync with system clock.
LED OFF = No signal detected
at selected MADI input
sYnC**
lEd (green): indicates the lock/
sync state of selected MAdi input
LED ON = Signal of selected
MADI input is in sync
LED blinking = Signal of selected
MADI input is locked but not in sync
LED OFF = No signal detected
at selected MADI input
*) 16 SYNC LEDs in the metering section indicate the sync state of each AES port individu-
ally.
Another 16 SRC LEDs indicate the activation status of the sample rate converters at AES
input ports 01 to 16 -
see „Level Meters - digital I/O [AES SRC]“ on page 31.
**) The LED SYNC monitors the sync state of the selected MADI input -
see „Clocking contin-
ued - MADI STATE“ on page 24
