3.2 Direct Injection
For this application, sample is drawn by the syringe through the needle and placed in the
sample loop when the autosampler's injection valve is in
Load
position. The needle pair
withdraws liquid from the well or vial and then descends into the wash port. The injection
valve is switched to
Inject
position, directing the sample flow from the sample loop through
the high-pressure circuit to the separation column.
Dionex recommends that you stack the system modules as shown below:
