9.7.1.2 Air slide valve
During installation and maintenance of the appliance, check the operation of the air slide. It is possible that
steel grit ended up in the air slide during transportation. If the air slide does not run smoothly, it has to be
cleaned. For this, the air slide should be disassembled. The air slide is suspended by means of a bolt and a spring
located under the cover plate.
When disassembling the air slide, proceed as follows (see appendix 2, fig. 11a to 11c):
Ø
Remove the vermiculite plates from the bottom (see section 9.7.1.3.1).
Ø
Unscrew the cover plate's 4 screws from the bottom.
Ø
Remove the cover plate.
Ø
Unscrew the Allen screw with spring.
Ø
Unscrew the 8 self-tapping screws from the air slide unit.
Ø
Take out the top air slide plate, so that the air slide becomes visible. (see appendix 2, fig.11c )
Ø
Check the air slide and clean it if necessary.
For placing back the air slide, the actions described for disassembling
should be performed in reverse order.
9.7.1.3 Interior lining
9.7.1.3.1 Vermiculite
The fire’s vermiculite plates are located on the bottom, against the rear wall and/or side walls of the appliance.
In the following situations the vermiculite plates must be taken out:
•
When disassembling the air slide valve (see section 9.7.1.2).
•
To be able to reach the adjustable legs (see section 9.6).
•
When replacing the vermiculite plates.
•
Outside air connection.
The bottom plates and the underlying felt are first removed and the rear plates last. The insertion of the
vermiculite plates takes place in reverse order.
!Caution
Make sure that the vermiculite plates are replaced in the original position! The back plate with the small, not
countersunk, holes must be placed to the front.
9.7.1.3.2 Flame baffle plate
On delivery the flame baffle plate (see appendix 2, fig. 12) is located in the top section of the appliance. The flame
baffle plate must be removed in a number of situations:
•
when mounting and checking the flue gas exhaust connection;
•
when performing maintenance at the flue duct;
•
when replacing the flame baffle plate.
For removing the flame baffle plate, proceed as follows:
Ø
Lift the back side of the flame baffle plate until it gets above the edge, slide the flame baffle plate to the backside
and lower the front side of the flame baffle plate until it reaches the lower section of the appliance.
Ø
Now you can remove the flame baffle plate.
Placing the flame baffle plate takes place in reverse order.
!Caution
The stainless steel profile must be placed at the front with the screw heads on top.
9.7.1.4 Side connect
The slide connect can be adjusted by unscrewing the bolts and fastening them again at the required position. In
order to create more possibilities for adjustment, proceed as follows: (see appendix 2, fig. 3d)
