Ø
Pull the flexible pipe through the chimney.
Ø
Fix the draining flex/fix connecting piece using 3 self-tapping screws to the flexible pipe.
Ø
Push the flexible pipe including connecting piece back in the chimney.
Ø
Slide the fire into place.
Ø
Remove the flame baffle plate(s) if this is/these are already in the correct place in the top of the appliance
(see paragraph 9.7.1.3.2.
Ø
Insert a hand through the flue hole and grasp the connecting piece handle.
Ø
Pull the flexible pipe with the connecting piece downwards.
Ø
Fasten the flexible connecting piece to the appliance with 3 bolts.
!Caution
The handle in the flexible connecting piece (see Appendix 2, Fig. 3b) can be broken out after installation. This is
not necessary but can be desirable for sweeping the chimney.
Tip!
The draining flex/fix connecting piece can be used to make both a flexible or fixed connection.
!Caution
With a fixed connection the pipe material lowers fully into the connecting piece, with a flexible connection only
half of it (see Appendix 2, Fig. 3c).
9.1.2.2 RS (room sealed) connection
The appliance is provided with a flue ring. It should be attached air-tight (room sealed) to your flue duct.
A room sealed connection can be made in the following ways:
•
Fixed connection:
When making a fixed connection, the flue material must be connected air-tight to the flue
ring. Do this with the aid of heat resistant paste.
•
Flexible connection:
When making a flexible connection, the flexible tube must be connected air-tight to
the flue ring using the heat resistant paste.
In case of a flexible connection, proceed as follows (see appendix 2, fig. 3a to 3c):
Ø
Remove the flame baffle plate.
Ø
Disassemble the connecting piece by loosening the 3 nuts from the inside.
Ø
Pull the flexible pipe through the chimney.
Ø
Fix the draining flex/fix connecting piece to the flexible pipe, using 3 self-tapping screws.
CAUTION!
Apply heat resistant paste between the connecting collar and flexible hose for an air-tight connection.
Ø
Push the flexible pipe including the connecting piece back in the chimney.
Ø
Slide the fire into place.
Ø
Insert a hand through the flue hole and grasp the connecting piece handle.
Ø
Pull the flexible pipe with the connecting piece downwards.
Ø
Fasten the flexible connecting piece to the appliance with 3 bolts.
Ø
Mount the flame baffle plate.
!Caution
The handle in the flexible connecting piece (see appendix 2, fig. 3b) can be broken out after installation. This is not
necessary but can be desirable for sweeping the chimney.
9.3 Door(s) adjustment
Check the closing of the door(s) with installation or maintenance. The door(s) can be adjusted if desired. This is the
case if sealing is insufficient is (gaps).
Ø
Check the sealing of the door by placing a sheet of paper between the door and the fire. After closing the door the
sheet of paper may not be able to be easily pulled out. Check around the door.
Proceed as follows when adjusting the door:
Ø
Loosen the 2 hexagonal bolts on the top and bottom side of the hinging part of the door with an open-end
spanner one turn (see Appendix 2, Fig. 4).
!Caution
Do not fully remove these bolts!
Ø
The door can now be adjusted.
Ø
Check whether the door still seals well using the test with a sheet of paper described above.
Ø
Tighten the bolts again.
