2. Powerline Networking Utility
Note
The P owerline D evice can auto detect the other P owerline bridges which plug in the same power circuit, you don’t
need to use this P owerline utility except you want to encryption all the P owerline devices as the same group or you
can not access the other computers.
Introduction of Configuration Utility
The C onfiguration U tility for W indows O S enables the user to find P owerline E thernet devices on the P owerline
network; measures data rate performance, ensures privacy, performs diagnostics and secures P owerline networks.
Configuration Utility Setup
Installation of the Utility
P lease verify that no other P owerline Management U tilities are installed before installing this product. If other utilities
are installed, uninstall them and restart before installing this software. The utility only support W indows 2000, X P
and 2003.
To install, insert the W indows O S C onfiguration U tility S etup utility C D -R O M into the computer's C D -R O M drive. The
S etup utility shall run automatically. A lternatively this can also be done manually by double clicking the setup.exe file
on the C D . The C D will launch an installation utility similar to the one shown in
Figure 2.1.1

C lick the U tility to enter the U tility install page. P lease make sure if your windows O S doesn’t install the .N E T
Framework, please install it first, otherwise, the P owerline U tility will work not properly. If already installed the .N E T
framework, please install the P owerline U tility directly. A fter that, it will pop up the setup wizard as the Figure 2.1.2,
please click the
Next
button to continue.
