button ends the alarm cycle, but the vehicle remains locked and the VSS
remains armed. During alarm cycle, press of the UNLOCK button stops the alarm
cycle, disarms the VSS and opens the vehicle.
In some cars turning the ignition with OEM key with immobiliser disarms the VSS
and can be used to emergency disarming of the system, for example if OEM
remote transmitter is broken. Operation of this function in certain car needs
to be consulted with the installer.
IMPORTANT! Alarm GSM notification is described in chapter 3.
Emergency disarming procedure, service mode and anti-hijack function are
described in chapter 4.

The DS512 can work as GSM Pager for any alarm system - either OEM VSS
(Mode 2 OEM Pager) or any aftermarket analogue VSS (Mode 1 Pager).
Operation of DS512, its arming/disarming is in accordance with the manual of
installed security system - OEM or aftermarket.
If DS512 detects alarming of OEM or aftermarket VSS it signalises the alarming
according to description in chapter 3.
When the DS512 monitors an OEM VSS the states of doors, ignition and vehicle
central locking system are available.
When the DS512 monitors any aftermarket VSS, recognition of arm state,
ignition and doors depends on the VSS connection configuration - detailed
information can be provided by installer.
If DS512 operates in Mode 1 or Mode 2 the LED signalises states as follows:
LED is OFF
monitored VSS is not armed,
LED is continuously lit (without audible and visible signalisation)
monitored VSS is being armed,
LED blinks slowly (1x/sec.)
monitored VSS is armed, vehicle is protected,
LED blinks fast (2x/sec.)
alarm state detected, monitored VSS is alarming,
LED blinks very fast (5x/sec.)
monitored VSS was disabled; waiting for doors to be opened otherwise after
30 seconds the rearming procedure starts,
LED is continuously lit (with audible and visible signalisation)
anti-hijack procedure in progress - remote vehicle immobiliser.
ALARM GSM NOTIFICATION
CHAPTER 3
Depending on the configuration the DS512 can notify theft attempt by voice
call or SMS to up to 3 programmed phone numbers.
Right after the alarm trigger the DS512 attempts to notify up to 3 mobile
phone numbers programmed in device by voice call. DS512 takes 1, 2 or 3
attempts to voice call each number. In order to confirm receiving of the alarm
trigger notification and stop the voice call cycle the '*' (asterisk) character must
be pressed within 15 seconds after answering the voice call.
Voice call notification cycle is stopped. Next voice call cycle is possible 30
seconds after the siren signalisation ends (in alarm mode - after hazard lights
signalisation ends).
