The DS512 is intended to work as a complete VSS integrated in a single unit
with a GSM voice call and/or SMS notifications and anti-hijack functions
(permitted only outside EU, where the reg. 97 UN ECE does not apply).
DS512 primary task is to notify up to 3 vehicle users by voice call and / or SMS
about alarm state in vehicle.
If the device is equipped with additional external GPS module it can provide
information about vehicle position. Position is sent as longitude and latitude in
the form of internet link. It can be opened in web browser on a smart phone, any
other mobile device or personal computer. The vehicle GPS position is sent only
during alarming or after PIN code protected SMS command.
Tytangps Alarm DS512 can work as standalone VSS controlled by OEM
remote transmitters or Tytan additional remote transmitters. Device can work as
regular VSS - with audible and visible signalisation (so called: FULL ALARM, mode
4) or without audible and visible signalisation, with only GSM notification
(so called: SILENT ALARM, mode 3).
Operation of Tytangps Alarm DS512 as a standalone VSS is described
in chapter 1. If the DS512 works in mode 4 or mode 3 chapter 2 must be skipped.
DS512 can work without VSS function enabled. It can operate as GSM pager
monitoring OEM VSS or any 3rd party VSS installed in vehicle. f the DS512 works
in mode 2 or mode 1 chapter 1 must be skipped.
Issues related to alarming GSM notification, GPS localisation and Tytangps
SMS control are described in chapter 3 (including remote anti-hijack function).
The information about options that apply to the given installation in the given
vehicle should be provided for the owner by the device installer.

!!! IMPORTANT !!!
After installation of Tytangps Alarm DS512, the DSPIN
must be changed to your personal vehicle code
(instead default code: 12345) and the vehicle users
phone numbers must be programmed in order to
prevent unauthorised access to your vehicle.
Procedure of changing the DSPIN is described in
subsection: PROGRAMMING DSPIN AND PHONE
NUMBERS on pages 23 and 24 of this manual.
