2.8 TL16C550 UART
The C6413/C6418 EVM has an on board TLC16C550 UART. The UART is buffered
with a SN75LV4737A RS-232 line driver and is routed to a male 9 pin D-connector, P4.
The pin positions for the P4 connector as viewed from the edge of the printed
circuit board are shown below.
The pin numbers and their corresponding signals are shown in the table below. This
corresponds to a standard dual row to DB-9 connector interface used on personal
computers.
The UART occupies 8 locations mapped at address 0x900F0000 - 0x900F000F in
CE1 space with the EMIF in 8 bit synchronous memory mode. The UART uses the NMI
interrupt for interrupt based communication.
