Advanced Settings menu
The
Advanced Setup
screen contains system settings that should be adjusted
only if the implications are fully understood.
Network Configuration
: This sub-menu controls how the iDyl assigns itself
an IP address, when connecting to a LAN via Ethernet cable (see page 43).
System Settings
: This sub-menu has options for how the iDyl operates at a
low level (use only if advised by DFSolutions technical support).
Enable Line Level Audio Control
: If enabled, users can adjust the output
volume of the iDyl™ via IR or similar control interface. If disabled, the iDyl™
defaults volume to maximum and is unresponsive to volume control. This is for
installers that will be using external amplifiers for audio gain.
Enable ‘Jump to Audio Control’
: If enabled, when the user plays an album
via the ‘Audio Browse’ menus, the display will jump to the ‘Currently Playing’
screen.
Send Logs to DFSolutions

.
Show System Log
: This will display a new screen showing messages logged by
the iDyl™ relating to its operation. This can be useful for installers and support
staff in solving problems shoud they arise.
