Then, of course, it spins. Separate belts, pulleys
and motors drive the upper treble horn and the
lower foam drum. Adding to the effect, the up-
per horn and lower drum spin in opposite direc-
tions. Most rotating speakers feature two sets of
motors, allowing both slow (“Chorale”) and fast
(“Tremolo”) rotation speeds.
How Voce Spin is Used
Of course, all that motion creates a rich sound—
but then you have to capture it using micro-
phones. Spin provides fifteen classic recording
setups to choose from, giving you the sounds
you’ve heard on countless records instantly.
Just choose a preset and click Chorale, Tremolo,
or Off. Alternately, click and drag the flip
switch. Short flicks of the wrist land on Off;
longer flicks toggle between Chorale and Trem-
olo.
You may also Alt-click (Windows) or Option-
click (Mac) anywhere to toggle between Chorale
and Tremolo speeds.
