5.11 Setting the caster angle
Depending on the seat inclination – which is the
result of the seat heights that were set at the
front and rear – you will need to adjust the angle
of the caster arms.
Set this angle so that the axle of the caster forks
(=
caster angle) is perpendicular to the floor.
This setting option is only for compensating for
the seat inclination. A caster angle that deviates
from 90° will always negatively affect the wheel-
chair handling.
To set the caster angle, turn the 3 screws on the
inner side of the frame several times to loosen
them.
Now you can put a 5 mm Allen spanner through
the hole at the bottom of the caster housing and
adjust the angle by turning. Next, tighten all 3
screws again.
