5.7 Setting the rear wheel position
active < - > passive
The position of the rear wheel (centre of gravity)
can be moved forward or backward in 6 steps
of 2 cm each. Measure the position relative to
the back tube. The negative range (active, -2 ->
-8 cm) is at the front and the positive range
(passive, +2 cm) is at the rear.
To change the position of the rear wheel, move
the adapter plate forward or backward. To achie-
ve half steps, switch the plates from left to right
and turn them 180°.
WARNING
The position of the rear wheels
has an enormous influence on
the wheelchair‘s tipping stability.
Tipping sleeves must be used for
active rear wheel positions.
