INSTALALATION
Before proceeding with the connection of the equipment to the electrical network, verify that the voltage of the
same is within the operation range of the equipment, and that it is off. If you are not sure that the network power
is clean, stable and free of transients, a stabilizer and transient suppressor of at least 100 W of power should be
used.
Install the equipment in a clean, ventilated place and in which the temperature is within the range of operation of
the equipment.
Connect the antenna cable to the "N" connector located on the rear panel. Use for this operation coaxial cable with
50 Ohms impedance and low losses. Never use coaxial cable type RG58 for this function. If the necessary length of
the cable is reduced, a low cost cable can be used, such as RG213, otherwise use Celflex of ½ "or similar.
Verify before putting the equipment in transmission, that the load to which it is going to connect presents an
adequate adaptation in such a way that the ROE is within the parameters accepted by it, and if possible verify it
using other equipment. If you do not have this possibility and if you do not know the conditions of the load to
which the equipment is to be connected, program it beforehand in frequency and power using an artificial load,
and set the power output to 3W, to reduce the risk of damage when connecting it to the load that will be definitely
used.
Connect the program inputs according to the use that will be given to the equipment, using shielded cable for the
Mono input, and 75 Ohms coaxial cable for the Mpx input.
Turn on the device and verify that after a few seconds the display shows the welcome message.
Wait until the "PLL" led lights up indicating that the synthesizer is engaged.
From this moment the equipment is ready to be used. Refer to the User Manual to obtain a detailed description of
the operation, commands and functions available through the Multifunction Panel.
