2.2.6 Installing the System Board
1. Remove the I/O shield located at the rear of the system unit
and replace it with the I/O shield included in the package.
Refer to your system chassis manual for instructions on
removing and installing the I/O shield.
2. After you have finished installing or upgrading the system
board, install the system board into the chassis.
3. Install all expansion cards, cables and connectors.
4. Replace the system unit cover. Reconnect all power cords and
cables.
5. You may now turn on the power of your system unit. After
you power up your system, the BIOS message appears on
your screen and the memory count begins. After the memory
test, the following message will appear on the screen:
Press DEL to enter setup.
If the message disappears before you respond, restart your
system or press the “Reset” button. You may also restart the
system by pressing the <Ctrl> <Alt> and <Del> keys
simultaneously.
6. Refer to Chapter 3 for descriptions on the BIOS setup.
