Award BIOS Setup Utility

Power Management Option

This field allows you to select the type (or degree) of power saving
mode.

Video Off Option

Always On

The system BIOS will never turn off the screen.

Suspend -> Off

The screen is off when the system is in the
Suspend mode.

All Modes -> Off

The screen is always Off.

Susp, Stby -> Off

The screen is off when the system is in the
Suspend or Standby mode.

Video Off Method

This determines the manner in which the monitor is blanked.

V/H SYNC + Blank

This will cause the system to turn off the ver-
tical and horizontal synchronization por ts and
write blanks to the video buffer.

Blank Screen

This only writes blanks to the video buffer.

DPMS Support

Initializes display power management signaling. Se-
lect this if your video board supports it.

Switch Function

The options are Disabled and Break/Wake.

MODEM Use IRQ

This field is used to set an IRQ channel for the modem installed in
your system.

HDD Power Down

After the set time of system inactivity, the hard disk drive will be
powered down while all other devices remain active.
