The Virus Warning option may be set to “Enabled” or “Disabled”. If en-
abled, the BIOS issues a warning when any program or virus sends a
Disk Format command or attempts to write to the boot sector of the
hard disk drive.
Note:
If you are installing or running certain operating systems such as Win-
dows 95, please disable the Virus Warning or the operating system may
not install nor work.
If you choose “System” in the Security Option, you will be prompted for
a password every time you cold boot your system or access setup. If
you choose “Setup”, you will be prompted for a password only when
trying to access setup.
Use the arrow keys to move the highlight bar to the option you wish to
change or modify. Use the <Page Up>, <Page Down>, <+> or <-> keys
to make the corresponding changes. Press <Esc> after making the
changes to return to the main menu.
Chipset Features Setup
The G586VSY AIO uses the Intel 82430VX chipset. The Chipset Fea-
tures Setup allows you to modify some functions to optimize system
performance. If you press <Enter>, a screen similar to the one on the
next page will appear.
