IDE HDD Auto Detection
This option detects the hard disk parameters for the hard
disk drives installed in your system. Highlight this
option and press <Enter>. A screen similar to the one
below will appear.
The G486-EVB supports three HDD modes: Normal,
LBA, and Large. If your HDD does not support LBA
mode, the “LBA” option under Mode will not appear. If
your HDD has 1024 or fewer cylinders, the “Large”
option under Mode will not appear.
The screen displays the parameters detected and allows
you to accept or reject the parameters. Type “Y” and
press <Enter> to accept the parameters or press <Esc>
to abort. If you select “Y”, the parameters of the hard
disk will be displayed in the Standard CMOS Setup.
