Award BIOS Setup Utility
Power Management
This field allows you to select the type (or degree) of power saving
by changing the length of idle time that elapses before the Doze
Mode and Suspend Mode fields are activated.
Min Saving
Minimum power saving time for Doze and Suspend
mode = 1 hr.
Max Saving
Maximum power saving time for Doze and
Suspend mode = 10 sec.
User Define
Allows you to set the power saving time in the
Doze Mode and Suspend Mode fields.
HDD Power Down
After the set time of system inactivity, the hard disk drive will be
powered down while all other devices remain active.
Doze Mode
This is selectable only when the Power Management field is set to
User Define. When the system enters the Doze mode according to
the power saving time selected, the CPU clock will run at a slower
speed (1/2 of full speed) while all other devices still operate at full
speed.
Suspend Mode
This is selectable only when the Power Management field is set to
User Define. When the system enters the Suspend mode according
to the power saving time selected, the CPU and onboard
peripherals will be shut off.
Video Off Option
Always On
The system BIOS will never turn off the screen.
Suspend -> Off
The screen is off when the system is in the
Suspend mode.
All Modes
-> Off
The screen is off when the system is in the
Doze, Standby or Suspend mode.
