11.2. Scanning and decoding logged CAN data
To view the CAN data recorded in the imported data file, you need to go to the “Setup” tab, “CAN” tab,
select the CAN input port and then click on the “Scan” button to read the recorded CAN data. To decode
the recorded data you can import messages and channels from DBC and ARXML files or from XML files
in Dewesoft specific format.

12. Making modules available in real-time controller or
over EtherCAT
You can choose to make the input and output modules available either internally inside the real-time
controller or externally over EtherCAT, same as in IOLITEr or IOLITEs.
To change between the modes you need to enter Dewesoft settings and change the setting called “Use
external master”. If this option is disabled, the modules are available in the real-time controller, and if it is
enabled, they are available over EtherCAT LEMO connectors.
