2 Leg
3 Locking knob
4 Material support
5 Length stop
Assembly and adjustment
Setting up the mitre saw stand (fig. A)
• Place the mitre saw stand on the floor with the folding legs facing up.
• For each leg, push the locking pin in and pull up the leg until the
locking pin engages.
• Lift the stand by the centre beam and place it in an upright position.
Check that the stand is stable and make sure that the locking
pins have properly engaged.
Assembling the length stop/material support DE7303 (fig. B & C)
The length stop/material support can be used either as a length stop or as
a material support, depending on how it is assembled.
Material support (fig. B)
• Place the bracket (7) onto the base plate (6) as shown.
• Insert the bolts (8) into the holes and secure them using the washers (9)
and nuts (10).
• Place the washer (12) onto the mushroom head bolt (11), insert the bolt
into the slot in the bracket and screw on the support horn (13).
• Insert the safety screw (14) into the threaded hole (15) (do not yet tighten).
• Insert the locking knob (16) into the threaded hole (17).
Length stop (fig. C)
• Place a washer (9) onto one of the bolts (8), insert the bolt into the hole
near the middle of the base plate, place a washer onto the bolt on the
other side of the base plate and secure the bolt using a nut (10).
• Place the bracket (7) onto the base plate (6) as shown.
• Insert the second bolt (8) into the rear hole and secure it using a nut (10).
• Place the washer (12) onto the mushroom head bolt (11), insert the bolt
into the slot in the bracket and screw on the support horn (13).
• Insert the fixing screw (14) into the threaded hole (15) (do not yet tighten).
• Insert the locking knob (16) into the threaded hole (17).
Mounting the length stop/material support DE7303 (fig. A, B & C)
Please note that the material support is to be slided on first.
• Slacken the locking knob (16).
• Slide the length stop (5) / material support (4) onto the workstation rail
(fig. A).
• Tighten the locking knob (16).
Saw mounting board (fig. D)
The saw mounting board is provided with four rubber feet to facilitate a
stable base in case you remove the saw assembly from the workstation.
• Mount the feet (18) to the saw mounting board using the screws (19)
and holes (20) as shown.
Mounting the mitre saw to the saw mounting board (fig. A, D & E)
The saw mounting board has been pre-drilled to accomodate a wide
range of mitre saws. See fig. E to find the appropriate mounting holes for
your mitre saw.
Mounting the DW700, DW701, DW707 or DW708
• Orient the saw mounting board with the open end of the tape measure
clamp (23) (fig. E) facing you when standing in front of the workstation.
• Insert the flat bar (22) (fig. D) of the saw mounting board into the
workstation rail and slide the board onto the rail.
• Tighten the locking knobs (3) (fig. A).
• Place the saw on the mounting board, aligning the saw mounting holes
with the corresponding holes in the board (refer to fig. E).
• Place a flat washer on each of the hexagonal head bolts.
• Insert the bolts into the mounting holes in the saw and the board
from below.
• Place a flat washer onto the ends of the bolts and screw a self-locking
nut onto each of the bolts. Do not yet fully tighten.
• Use a straight edge to check that the saw fence and material support
are properly aligned. Make sure that the saw fence is parallel to the
workstation rail. Correct as necessary.
• Securely tighten the nuts.
Mounting the DW704 or DW705 (fig. A, D & E)
For these saws, the saw mounting board must be re-oriented 180°.
• Remove the two locking knobs (3) (fig. A).
• Remove the centre bolt (21) (fig. D).
• Remove the flat bar (22).
• Rotate the saw mounting board 180°.
• Replace the flat bar.
• Replace the centre bolt and tighten it securely.
• Replace the two locking knobs.
• Follow the procedure described above for the other mitre saw models.
Mounting any other mitre saw (fig. A & D)
If you want to mount a mitre saw other than those specified above, you will
first need to determine to correct orientation of the saw mounting board.
• Orient the saw mounting board with the tape measure clamp facing
you when standing in front of the workstation.
• Insert the flat bar of the saw mounting board into the workstation rail
and slide the board onto the rail.
• Tighten the locking knobs.
• Place the saw on the mounting board, aligning the saw fence with the
material support.
• If all four corners of the mitre saw base do not sit on the saw mounting
board, you must re-orient the saw mounting board:
• Remove the two locking knobs (3) (fig. A).
• Remove the centre bolt (21) (fig. D).
• Remove the flat bar (22).
• Rotate the saw mounting board 180°.
• Replace the flat bar.
• Replace the centre bolt and tighten it securely.
• Replace the two locking knobs (3) (fig. A).
• Place the saw on the mounting board, aligning the saw fence with the
material support. All four corners of the mitre saw base should now be
on the saw mounting board.
• With the saw properly aligned as described above, mark the mounting
holes on the saw mounting board.
• Remove the saw.
• Drill the mounting holes in the saw mounting board using a ø 10 mm drill.
• Place the saw on the saw mounting board, aligning it with the
mounting holes.
• Place a flat washer on each of the hexagonal head bolts.
• Insert the bolts into the mounting holes from above.
• Place a flat washer onto the ends of the bolts and screw a self-locking
nut onto each of the bolts. Do not yet fully tighten.
• Use a straight edge to check that the saw fence and material support
are properly aligned. Correct as necessary.
• Securely tighten the nuts.
