FAMILIARIZATION

Large Angle Grinders and Large Angle Sanders are designed for heavy material 

removal in extended use applications. The following grinders and sanders are 

described in this manual:

SWITCH

The tool is controlled by a trigger switch (A) and a lock-off button (B).

ROTATING GEAR CASE (D28493)

For applications in which a tool will be dedicated for uses in edge grinding and 

finishing work, the gear case may be rotated 90° left or right of its original position. 

See page 9 for instructions on rotating the gear case. 

SPINDLE LOCK

The spindle lock pin is provided to prevent the spindle 

from rotating when installing or removing wheels. Operate 

the spindle lock pin only when the tool is turned off and 

unplugged from the power source. To engage the lock, 

depress the spindle lock button (C) and rotate the spindle 

until you are unable to rotate it further.

CAUTION: 

Never depress the spindle lock button while 

the grinder is running. Never turn on the grinder while the 

spindle lock button is depressed. Damage to your tool or 

personal injury may result.
