Key Lock On/
Off
You can lock the keypad to prevent keys from being pressed
accidentally. Press the
Menu
softkey, select
$Key$lock$
with the
arrow keys and confirm with
OK
. To unlock, enter (as shown in
the display)

and then
#
. While the keylock is acti-
vated, you can answer calls as usual and also use all keys dur-
ing a call. The keylock reactivates at the end of a call.
Handset
Volume
Use
+
/
-
to change the volume of the earpiece. A beep
tells you when you have reached the highest or lowest volume.
Muting
If the
Mute
softkey is displayed during a call, you can deacti-
vate the microphone of the handset.
UnMute
activates it again.
Charge Display
If your network operator/telephone system transmits charge data,
this will appear in the first display line
during
or
after
a sub-
scriber-dialled external call. The sum counter of your handset is
on the left, and on the right you see the current charges. For sub-
scriber-dialled consultation calls the current counter begins at
0.00 each time; the sum counter adds up the charges incurred by
the held call. At the end of a call you briefly see the current total
sum. This also appears if charge data is not displayed until the
end of a call. There is no charges display/summing if you your-
self end a call. Refer to page 17 for details of setting the charge
counter.
Making a Call
Dialling:
Press

and dial the number.
Predialling:
Enter the number and press
h

Correcting entry:
c
: deletes the last digit; keep
pressed to delete the entire number.

: moves the cursor to the beginning
or end of the number.
Menu
activates the menu list (see page 15).
Note
: If your number is more than 12 digits long, the display
automatically switches to a smaller resolution (max. 24 digits
in two lines).
