TRIM ASSEMBLY

1. Slide top trim over the surround assembly.  Secure frame

brackets with screws to the trim.

2. Slide the left trim from the bottom of the surround and

secure to the frame bracket with a screw.  Repeat the

procedure with the right trim.

3.  Insert both toggle switches into the square holes of the right

trim.

Note:  The trims slide over the seven screws on the front

surface of the surround.

Refer to the figure below.

PILOT ASSEMBLY ADJUSTMENTS

The pilot assembly is factory preset for the proper flame

height.  Alterations to these settings may have occurred during

shipping and handling. If this is the case, some minor

readjustments may be necessary and should be done by a

qualified technician.

To access the pilot assembly, glass door must be open. The

proper settings for the thermopile height should be at a

distance of 3/8" to 1/2" from the pilot flame as shown below.

GLASS PANEL REMOVAL AND LOG SET

INSTALLATION

Before proceeding, make sure gas control valve is in the

"OFF" position.

1. To open the louver assembly, simply pull on the louver

spring latches towards the inside of the louver assembly, refer

to figure on page 4.

2.  To open the glass door, undo both top latches located on

the middle and the right side of the firebox. The two lower

latches are located under the middle and right side of the

firebox.

For the top latch, place your left index finger on top of the

latch and your right index finger on the bottom of the latch.

Slowly pull the latch with your right index finger.  At the same

time, apply some pressure with your left index finger.

This will prevent the latch from releasing quickly (Refer to the

following figure).  Be careful when opening the latches since

they have springs.

4.  Carefully  swing  the  door  to  the  left.  The  glass  door  is

securely mounted to the firebox by means of three screws.

TRIM ASSEMBLY

ATTACH SURROUND TO INSERT

PILOT ASSEMBLY

If the door is not completely closed, the microswitch
located in the middle (underside) of the firebox will not
properly operate and the main burner will not light.
