UNPACKING

1.

Remove heater from carton.

2.

Remove all protective packaging ap-
plied to heater for shipment.

3.

Make sure your heater includes two
hardware packets.

4.

Check heater for any shipping damage.
If heater is damaged, promptly inform
dealer where you bought heater.

PRODUCT
FEATURES

SAFETY PILOT

This heater has a pilot with an Oxygen
Depletion Sensing (ODS) safety shutoff
system. The ODS/pilot is a required feature
for vent-free room heaters. The ODS/pilot
shuts off the heater if there is not enough
fresh air.

PIEZO IGNITION SYSTEM

This heater has a piezo ignitor. This system
requires no matches, batteries, or other
sources to light heater.

THERMOSTATIC HEAT
CONTROL

This heater has a thermostat sensing bulb
and a control valve. This results in the great-
est heater comfort. This can also result in
lower gas bills.

 WARNING: Do not remove

the metal data plates attached to
the heater assembly. The data
plates contain important warranty
information.

ASSEMBLY

ASSEMBLING HEATER

Tools Required:

• Phillips Screwdriver

• 5/16" hex wrench

• Slotted screwdriver

Removing Front Panel Of Heater

1.

Remove two screws near bottom cor-
ners of front panel with Phillips screw-
driver.

2.

Pull bottom of front panel forward, then
down (see Figure 2) .

Installing Hood

1.

Remove hood from protective tray.

2.

Locate 4 black sheet metal screws in-
side hardware pack.

3.

Place hood on deflector and line up
holes (see Figure 3, page 4).

4.

Secure hood to deflector with 4 black
sheet metal screws.

Note:

 Side of hood should be on the outside

flange of deflector.

Installing Log

Note:

 For easier installation, lay heater on

its back.
1.

With Phillips screwdriver, remove two
screws holding screen in place. Remove
screen.

2.

Remove log from inside of deflector.
Discard protective packaging.

3.

Gently slide log between log retaining
brackets on deflector assembly (see Fig-
ure 3, page 4). The log should fit firmly
against bottom of log retaining brackets.

4.

Reattach screen using two screws re-
moved in step 1.
