Connection  of  booster  cable*  and  installation

When  the  engine  is  started  using  booster  cables,  connect  the  cables  as  follows.

(1)  Connection  o f  booster  cable

ф   Connect  the  clip  o f  the  booster  cable  "A" 

to  the  terminal 

of  the  machine  in  trouble. 

Ф

  Connect  the  other  clip  o f  the  booster  cable 

"A"  to  the  terminal  "+"  o f  normal  machine.

®   Connect  the  clip  o f  the  booster  cable  "В" 

to  the  terminal  "B”  to  the  terminal  ,'-1’  of 

normal  machine,

©   Connect  the  other  clip  o f  the  booster  cable 

to  the  engine  block  of  the  machine  in  trouble.

(2)  Removal  of  booster  cable

(3)  Caution  on  handling  o f  booster  cable

CD 

Use  booster  cables  and  clips  of  the  size  that  matches  the  size  o f  battery.

©   The  battery  used  for  normal  machine  should  be  the  same  in  capacity  as  the  battery 

of  the  machine  in  trouble.

<3)  After  connection,  check  that  clips  are  firmly  connected.

©   When  connecting  booster  cables,  make  sure  that  the  terminal  "+"  does  not 

touch  the  terminal

©   The  engine  block  should  be  connected  at  a  place  more  than  30cm  away  from  the 

battery.
