General Operation
WARNING:
To Promote Infection Control:
Always adhere to protective measures when handling the device with patients.
After use with a patient, spray air and water through the device for at least 20 seconds.
After prolonged storage of the device, first flush water and air lines to remove any stagnation that
occurred during storage.
Handpiece attachments and motors should be sterilized between patients
. Sterilize both
handpiece attachments and motors before use, both are supplied non-sterile.
Follow all cleaning and maintenance procedures as described in the Cleaning and Mainenance
Section 9 of this manual for the control unit and hoses.
Always Confirm Safe and Accurate Device Operation by:
Confirming all input values before use, including: motor speed in relation to the appropriate
handpiece attached, torque limits, and drill direction.
Monitoring device operation during use. Stop using the device immediately in the event of
damage, irregular running noises, excessive vibrations, unusual generation of heat or if the rotary
instrument is not firmly gripped.
Ensuring the motor is running at the desired speed by pressing down on the foot control for
2 seconds before starting the procedure to allow the device to reach its target speed.
Confirming device is not in Demo Mode. Never use Demo Mode for patient treatment.
