Installation and Preparation for Use
WARNING:
Installation of the device should be performed by a qualified service technician only
Location
A mounting accessory is supplied with the unit to aid installation of the system to a dental unit. The
placement and mounting location of the device is at the discretion of the dental office.
To mount the controller:
Attach the supplied controller mounting bracket in the desired location. The bracket contains four
holes on the surface wings to easily bolt it to the underside of a dental unit tray.
Mounting Bracket
Slide the controller unit into the bracket.
Using the four screws and washers supplied, mount the unit to the bracket by aligning the four slots
on the bracket base with the four holes on the bottom of the control unit.
Installation
Follow the following instructions to install the device:
Connect Power Supply
WARNING:
Use only the Midwest

E motor and power supply supplied with the Midwest
®
E Electric
Handpiece System.
To connect the AC Power Adaptor:
1. Connect the power supply cord to the back of the control unit as shown in Figure 4 below.
2. Connect the power supply adaptor to the mains cable.
3. Plug the AC mains cable into a 120 VAC wall outlet.
NOTE: Maintain a clear path to the back of the control unit when mounting the device to the dental unit, such
that disconnection of the power line is still accessible.
