2. Updating via Disc
The latest firmware can be written to a disc for update.
2.1. Support Disc
Preparation
• Provide a writable CD-R/RW disc.
NOTE :
• Do not place MCU and DSP update files in the same disc.
• Provide two discs, one for each of MCU and DSP.
2.2. How to create a disc
Write the update file to a disc
Update file :
DM_MICRO_MCU.bin
(MCU)
Update file :
DM_MICRO_MPEG.bin
(DSP)
The update file is written to the disc with the following settings.
• Multi Session : No
• File System : Joliet
• Mode : MODE1
• Write speed : 8-16x (match this with the performance of the CD-R)
• Write method : Disc at Once (Finalize(Close))
3. Updating via DSP (U4)
3.1. Preparation
• Use the Disc created in "2.2. How to create a disc".
3.2. Operations
(1) Press the power button to turn on the power.
Press the "

" button to set the input source to CD.
No Disc
(2) Insert the update disc.

UPGING

The disc is ejected
(4) Eject the update disc.
(5) After updating the firmware, check the version.

• Turning on the power while the update disc is inserted starts the update automatically.
• Do not turn off the power until updating is completed.
4. MCU Updates (U10)
4.1. Preparation
• Use the Disc created in "2.2. How to create a disc".
4.2. Operations
(1) Press the power button to turn on the power.

(2) Insert the update disc.

This unit restarts automatically

The disc is ejected
