supply for 24 hours (close pressure reducer). If there is water in the test hose after this time, the check valve is leaking.
It is only possible to perform a continuity test of the check valve with CO2, as the minimum pressure for opening is approx.
0.3 bar. A „blow through“ test is not possible.
Important note:
Only use check valves that are designed for operation with CO2, such as the Dennerle CO 2 special check
valve . Standard air check valves can become brittle through contact with CO2 in a short time, which leads to leakage.
7.3 Replacing the seal in the pressure reducer
There is a long-life seal in the connection piece of the pressure reducer. Replacement during the service life of the pressure
reducer is generally not necessary. If needed, the seal can be carefully removed and levered out with a suitable tool. Do not
damage the sealing surface and thread!
7.4 Removing the CO 2 hose
After a long period of operation, the CO2 hose can get very tight on the connection points of the pressure reducer and other
CO 2 devices. To remove the hose, it is best to lever it off with a small screwdriver. Do not force off or cut open with a knife
to avoid damage to the hose connections!
7.5 Cleaning the CO 2 diffuser
Use warm water and a soft sponge or soft brush. Do not use cleaning agents.

9 Add-ons for CO 2 fertilization systems
Level 1: CO 2 night cut-off valve: In combination with a Dennerle CO 2 magnet valve , a time switch can be used
to stop the CO 2 supply during the night, as plants do not consume CO2 at night. This provides a way to
save valuable CO2.
Level 2: Fully automatic: The Dennerle pH controller Evolution measures the pH value in the aquarium on an
ongoing basis and regulates the addition of CO 2 precisely and fully automatically via the CO 2 magnet
valve .
