Preparations for use
Unpack the appliance and turn it upside down, resting it on
the protective polystyrene packaging.
Check that the power cable is intact and the appliance has
not been damaged during transport.
Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.
“EASY WHEEL” SYSTEM
The appliance is fitted with an “easy wheel” system
allowing the wheels to be used immediately.
Turn the radiator upside down and rest it on a piece of
cloth or other soft surface to avoid damaging the paint.
Open the wheels completely by rotating them outwards
(fig. 1). Turn the radiator upright.
IMPORTANT
When in use, the radiator should always be kept vertical
(wheels at the bottom, controls at the top).
Any other position could be dangerous!
1. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Position the radiator under the coldest window in the
room or wherever else you want.
The radiator will reduce the effects of cold draughts to a
minimum.
The appliance must not be positioned directly underneath
a fixed power point.
Do not use the appliance in rooms with a surface area of
less than 4 m2.
The radiator must be connected to a perfectly functioning
socket with correct poles.
Avoid contact between clothing, household linen, furnitu-
re, inflammable material and the socket providing power
to the radiator.
2. TURNING ON MODELS WITH TWO SWITCHES
Turn the thermostat dial clockwise to maximum.
Turn on both switches.
The lights on the switches remain on irrespective of the
cycle set by the thermostat.
When the room reaches the required temperature, turn the
dial anticlockwise slowly until you hear a click.
The appliance will come on and go off automatically to
maintain the required temperature.
3. USING THE THERMOSTAT
The thermostat operates on the basis of room temperature
and not radiator temperature.
Turn the thermostat dial anticlockwise towards the lower
numbers to reduce the temperature; turn it clockwise
towards the higher numbers to raise the temperature.
FREEZE PREVENTION MODE
Turn the thermostat dial to the position and press both
switches.
The appliance maintains a room temperature of about 5°C,
preventing the pipes from freezing while saving energy.
In models with timer, push the teeth inwards.
PLEASE NOTE
To turn the radiator off completely, place both switches in
the OFF position.
4. COMFORTEMP BUTTON (WHEN PRESENT)
With the “COMFORTEMP” button and both switches pres-
sed, the appliance is automatically set to reach and main-
tain what is considered to be the optimum temperature.
A green light comes on to indicate activation of “COMFOR-
TEMP" mode.
To deactivate COMFORTEMP mode and return to manual
thermostat operation, press the (COMFORTEMP) button
again.
